The Index of Biodiversity Potential (IBP) field workshop took place on 15–16 April 2026 in Binzen (Germany), organised by the Integrate Network in collaboration with the EU project TRANSFORMIT.
Designed as a “train the trainers” event, the workshop provided a valuable hands-on learning opportunity on how to apply the IBP, a tool developed over the years by the Centre National de la Propriété Forestière (CNPF). The initiative stemmed from the strong interest expressed during the Integrate Network Annual Meeting in October 2025 in Ireland, where the IBP was introduced to many participants for the first time.
A total of 25 participants from 12 different European countries attended the workshop, fostering a rich exchange of knowledge and experience in forest management and biodiversity conservation.
For GoProFor Med, this represented yet another important training opportunity on a tool that will be central to the training activities foreseen within the project.
