The LIFE GoProForMED Project has developed a specific action (WP2), coordinated by Sapienza University of Rome, to define shared standard methodologies for the recognition and assessment of the conservation status of the four Mediterranean forest habitats targeted by the project.
This activity led to the creation of a “Manual”, which collects the applied methodology and the results obtained through the analysis of existing literature and data collected in the field in the project’s study areas. From this work, a practical “Guide” was also produced, conceived as an operational tool useful for recognizing the four target habitats and assessing their conservation status.
On the eve of the International Day for Biological Diversity, we are pleased to announce that a dedicated section is now available on the project website, where the Manual, the Guide, and other supporting materials can be downloaded.
