One of the objectives of the GoProForMED project is to define management and conservation models for four target habitats in the Mediterranean area (9330 - Quercus suber forests, 9340 - Quercus ilex and Quercus rotundifolia forests, 9260 - Castanea sativa woods, 9530* - (Sub)Mediterranean pine forests).
To achieve this goal, it was essential to assess how certain conservation status indicators correlate with the structural characteristics of these forest habitats.
To further investigate these relationships, experimental studies were conducted in the project areas, which also led to the completion of three thesis works at the University of Rome “La Sapienza.”
For each thesis, an abstract is now available, and the full document (in Italian) can be downloaded.
